New web native architecture delivers enhanced performance, modern user experience and streamlined & flexible front office workflows for private credit
New York & London, January 27th, 2026 – Portfolio BI (PBI), a specialist provider of cloud native solutions, data orchestration and managed services for alternative investment managers, today announced the launch of Axiom Nova. Axiom Nova is a fully reimagined, web native version of its flagship Axiom OMS/PMS platform.
Axiom Nova represents a major architectural shift for PBI, moving from a desktop dependent processing model to a truly SaaS based, browser native platform. Designed specifically for credit and private credit managers, Nova delivers materially improved performance, scalability and usability, while simplifying some of the most complex workflows in alternative asset management.
Alongside its architectural overhaul, Axiom Nova introduces a redesigned interface built to support the full order and trade lifecycle for complex credit instruments, including private credit, structured products and bespoke debt strategies. The interface preserves Axiom’s hallmark configurability while making workflows more intuitive for front-office, risk and operations teams. This reduces friction without sacrificing control or auditability.
Providing a seamless solution to Axiom Nova’s private credit proposition is XtractIQ, PBI’s AI-driven data extraction engine for unstructured documents. XtractIQ enables firms to ingest lengthy legal agreements and deal documentation, extract key terms and conditions, and normalize that data directly into workflows. By embedding XtractIQ within Axiom Nova, firms can continue to align workflows between teams and operations, improving data accuracy and reducing operational risk.
Axiom Nova’s architecture is designed to integrate seamlessly with PBI’s broader platform ecosystem, including enterprise data management (PBI Vector) and AI-driven analytics (PBI Insights). This creates a cleaner, more resilient foundation for downstream reporting, governance and insight.
“Two years in the making, this is an exciting inflection point for PBI, and a testament to the hard work, commitment and expertise of the PBI team. Axiom Nova is a fundamental re-platforming, not an incremental upgrade,” said Jonathan White, CEO of PBI. “Working alongside our clients, the team has delivered on our commitment to rebuild Axiom as a truly cloud native platform, both to meet performance demands and to maintain our trademark configurability, with a focus on the data challenges faced by today’s credit managers.”
